A shop full of
the things
we love.
Colour, creativity and lovely things made by people who care.

From a garden studio
to a shop on Westgate.
Olive Tree began with a simple wish: to bring the things Claire loves together in one welcoming space.
After years of selling at markets, exhibitions and online, she wanted to create a bright, homely shop for her artwork, vintage pieces and the work of other artists and makers.
Today, that collection sits alongside Fairtrade finds and British-designed homewares. The coffee bar and Garden Room give you another reason to linger, meet a friend or try something creative.

“I can’t complete a walk without taking a picture or getting a closer look at some intriguing patterns and shapes.”
My home studio is at the bottom of my garden in rural Lincolnshire. I also have a small workspace in Ilfracombe, Devon, so I’m lucky enough to find inspiration in both the countryside and the coast.
I love colour, texture, landscapes and seascapes. A walk usually turns into a chance to stop, explore and collect ideas. I’m a nightmare if you need to be anywhere in a hurry, but I’m never short of inspiration to paint.
I also love finding vintage and unloved furniture and transforming it with a bit of colour and imagination. Bringing all of this together is what Olive Tree is about.
